I’ve teamed up with Portrait Innovations again to let you know about a fun event they’re having this Monday, October 26. Thanks for supporting the brands that keep Lines Across going!
There is just something ridiculously adorable about babies and kids in costumes. Some of my favorite pictures of my kids are of them all dressed up. For example, last year I made this pineapple costume for Oliver and took pictures of him in it. I love those pictures so much! However, it ended out being too cold for him to actually wear his pineapple costume out on Halloween last year. A couple of months ago we had family pictures taken at Portrait Innovations (check out the pictures and the frames I made for them here). It was such a great experience and it made getting pictures as easy as possible. Of course there is only so much you can do to get pictures of a 16 month old who refuses to sit still, but I was so impressed with all of the tricks they had to get the kids to sit still and smile. I love how this picture captures each kids’ personality so well. Haha, little Oliver looks pretty mischievous doesn’t he?
Well, Portrait Innovations is having a fun Halloween costume promotion this Monday, October 26. Each child in costume will receive one free 5×7 portrait and three digital images. Just stop by any location across the country between 4pm and 6pm. There will also be candy, and a chance to enter a $5000 costume contest. You can find out more about the event and contest here.
And if you’re looking for a last minute costume to make yourself, I’ve gathered some great ideas for you. I just love transforming a simple onesie into an awesome baby costume. There are so many fun ideas and most of them don’t require much or any sewing. Here are 15 handmade baby onesie costumes:
- Pineapple
- Cow (with udders!)
- Cotton Candy
- Super Baby
- Football
- Panda
- Strawberry
- R2D2
- Gameboy
- Olaf
- Owl
- Organic Carrot
- Candy Corn
- Aerobics Instructor
- Gumball Machine
