Handmade Ornament #20
Hi everyone! I’m Shannah from the blog, Just Us Four! I am so excited to be here blogging as part of the Handmade Ornament series.
Over on my blog, I share lots of recipes and craft projects along with glimpse into the life of our family of four. We are really into Christmas and literally change the decorations in pretty much every part of our home for Christmas. I’m talking to the point that we take down artwork and put up Christmas decorations instead. This year, I decided to add a little Christmas sparkle to our paper mache tree and made some super easy glitter Christmas ornaments to hang on it.

For this craft, you’ll need a few supplies:
– some clear glass or plastic ornaments
– mod podge
– a spice funnel {optional but helpful}
– paint brushes
– glitter in your choice of colors

For the ornaments with the glitter on the outside, I simply painted the mod podge onto the places that I wanted the glitter to stick.
Then, over a plate or bowl, pour the glitter on top of the mod podge and shake off the excess. Let sit to dry.
For the ornaments with the glitter on the inside, I just used a spice funnel and poured the excess glitter from making my other ornaments {i.e. the glitter in the bowl} into the ornament and put the cap back on.
Once all the ornaments are done, hang them in their new homes!
Do you make handmade ornaments in your home? Do you love to decorate for Christmas?
