Our wedding feels like a lifetime ago. In reality, we have not yet celebrated our 3rd anniversary.
Really the past 3 years of my life have been such a whirlwind. Grant proposed in December 2007 when we were both seniors in college out in California. We then decided to move to Orlando after graduation and have our wedding there. I was not the type of girl who grew up dreaming about getting married or who ever really thought about having kids. I figured I would get married someday and maybe I would have kids, but that’s not the plan I had for my life. Then I met Grant. What I wanted out of my life seemed to change so quickly.
9 and a half months after our October wedding, our son Benjamin was born. I was sort of excited, but I remember thinking “I do not want to be doing this right now in my life.” Of course now I can’t begin to imagine anything else. If this wasn’t crazy enough, 16 months later our daughter Lyla was born. Benjamin was not even walking yet (he was a very late walker).
So today I thought back to our wedding, less than 3 years ago, and realized that I have never gotten around to printing pictures or making a wedding photo album. Haha, oh well, I guess you could say I’ve been a little busy.
Our wedding was everything I could have asked for… some people might have called it a big wedding, but most people would probably think of it as small, about 100 guests.
At my Grandmother’s church where she and my Granddad were married about 60 years ago. I especially love the star-gazer lilies at the altar. |
Right before the ceremony… getting a little stage fright |
Me and the bridesmaids out in front of Lake Eola… I miss you all! |
Beautiful (and delicious) Wedding Cake. |
The grooms cake – of course of Texas where we met. In the star there is a picture of us in our high school uniforms when we first started dating. |
Bridesmaids (and junior bridesmaids who look about 10 years older now) |
A picture of me BEFORE I gave birth to a 9 pound 11 ounce baby and a 9 pound 2 ounce baby. Of course I still look like this every day 🙂 ha |
♥ We could not be more perfect for each other ♥ |
I love this dress. |
You can vote for me once a day. Thanks!
Also, did you know that you can do a baby registry on Amazon?
