Hi everyone! Cheryl here. I live over at That’s What Che Said… I am over here at Lines Across today to share a cute, fun Styrofoam snowman ornament with you all! This would be a holiday craft to do with kids as well! Just substitute the hot glue gun for some tacky glue!
Right now I have a 25 Days of Christmas Series going on at my place! 25 Days, 25 posts, all about Christmas! It’s so much fun and I personally invite you all over! You can see what I have been up to this year already and also check out my past 2 years of projects! There is a ton of Christmas inspiration there!
Now let’s get to this ornament!
Supplies Needed:
- Styrofoam ball
- Black Pipe Cleaner
- Colored Pom Poms
- Felt
- Wire or an ornament hook
- Black Puffy Paint
- Orange Sculpey Clay
To start out make a small orange cone out of your sculpey clay. Bake as directed on the package (I baked mine at 275F for 15 minutes) You can also use orange felt if you’d like! The clay is fun to use!
While your carrot nose is baking, start by trimming your pipe cleaner to reach half way around the Styrofoam ball and glue in place.
Next add matching colored pom poms as ear muffs. Glue in place.
Cut a strip of your felt and you can fray the edges if you’d like! Wrap around the lower portion of the ball and tack in place with glue.
Next I placed a dab of glue on the top of the foam ball and then inserted my wire. I spun the wire around a pencil and made a hook at the top to hang.
When your carrot nose is cool glue in place.
Finally use your black puffy paint to create the “coal” eyes and mouth!

Thanks for letting me craft with you today and thanks to Rachel for having me over! I hope you all have a great Holiday season!
