Hi! It’s me, Denise from DENISE DESIGNED and I’m visiting Rachel here at Lines Across today. How much fun is this?!? I am so excited to be here to share with you my Retro Ornament Tutorial.
I happened to be internet shopping. And saw these fabulous Dept 56 Ornaments on Gilt.
Finally though!!!
I found them!
I put them in my shopping cart and was about to pay until I realized that they were $80! Whoa! $80. Insane! And I couldn’t tell how many I would be getting for that $80 (plus shipping still) as there wasn’t much of a description. And I only found them on one site. Hours and hours of searching (ok…well not hours, but you get the idea) and only on one site and expensive!
So I decided to try to make them myself.
- Red and Turquoise Balls – you can use any color
- Glue Pen – I bought 2 different tip widths
- Glitter – in any and all colors
- Thin Paint Brush
- Bowls – for each of the glitter colors
- Egg Holder
- Ribbon and Scissors (optional)
- Lots of Kitchen Wipes and Paper Towels – to clean up your mess
You will use the Egg Holder to sit your ornament on while you work.
Then add your glitter.
You can use multiple colors and create various different designs.
I hope you were all inspired. You still have time to make some yourself. And include your children. Emma had fun participating as well!
Thank you so much, Rachel, for having me here today to show off my Retro Ornaments.
You will have to stop over and visit my Christmas Tour and see them on the tree. Stay tuned for that. To be notified when it is live, just send me a Message.
